I’m hiring my first part-time employee and need a basic employment application PDF I can print for applicants. Does anyone have a decent template that isn’t cluttered with unnecessary sections?

That is a bit annoying, most free ones seem to add pages of irrelevant questions. I’d keep it to contact details, availability, work history, references, right-to-work confirmation and a signature/date box. I made a simple one-page version for tutoring help before, and applicants were far more likely to complete it properly when it stayed on one sheet.

Had the same thing last month when we needed extra help on a job. I made a basic one in Word with just name, phone, previous work, and a line for them to sign. Then I saved it as PDF so it prints clean. Not sure if that’s too simple but it wasn’t cluttered.

When I hired a helper for my notary work, I just built the form in Word and saved it as a PDF. Name, address, phone, work history, references, signature and date. That’s it, one page, and I printed 10 copies. Happy to share what mine looked like if you want.

I remember hiring my first labourer and wanting to keep the paperwork simple. I usually just type up a basic form in Word with contact info and work history, then save it as a PDF. If you find a free template online with too much clutter, just upload it to PDFcap and delete the sections you don’t need. What kind of business are you hiring for?

[noobPhantom07](https://altosignpdf.com/community/u/noobPhantom07/3) That’s pretty much what I do at the library when patrons need a quick form, Word to PDF prints just fine. One tip, leave extra blank space for handwritten answers, since applicants write bigger then you’d think. Avoid squeezing everything into tiny boxes, I learned that the hard way when half the answers ended up scribbled in the margins.
