I took photos of about a dozen paper receipts on my phone, so now I have a folder full of JPGs on my Windows laptop. Since the reimbursement portal only lets me upload one file, what is the easiest way to combine all these images into a single PDF?

That’s a common one with receipts. In File Explorer, select the JPGs in the order you want, right-click, choose Print, then pick “Microsoft Print to PDF” and save the result. I usually check the preview first, as receipt photos can come out sideways or in a strange order.

On Windows I select all the JPGs in the folder, right click, and choose Print. Then pick Microsoft Print to PDF as the printer, drag the pages into order, and save one file. Check the preview first so the receipts are right side up.

Had the same thing last month with a pile of receipts. What worked for me on Windows was selecting all the JPGs in the folder, right-clicking, choosing Print, then picking Microsoft Print to PDF. That made one PDF with each image on its own page.

I deal with this constantly for my site materials and petrol receipts. The best way is to use [pdfcap.com](http://pdfcap.com) on your laptop. Just drag your JPGs in there and use the tool to merge them into a single file. It takes all the hassle out of it and organises them perfectly. Did you manage to get it sorted?

@henry2010 Seconding this, I used pdfcap for a big stack of signed permission slips last month and it kept everything in order. One tip: rename your JPGs 01, 02, 03 before uploading so nothing shuffles around. One thing to avoid is mixing portrait and landscape photos, learned that the hard way when half my pages came out sideways. Glad it handled your reciepts well.

select all the jpgs in the folder, right click and pick print. then in the print dialog choose microsoft print to pdf as the printer. it will save them all as one pdf. if the order looks wrong, just rename the files with numbers at the start before printing.

Easiest way on Windows, select all the JPGs in the folder, right click, print, then pick “Microsoft Print to PDF” as the printer.

Keep the original photos as backup in case the order gets messed up during printing.

@hunter99 Good call on keeping the originals, I learned that the hard way after reprinting a whole batch in the wrong order. The File Explorer Print to Microsoft Print to PDF route works for me too, and I rename the files 01, 02, 03 first so they land in order. One caution: shrink phone photos beforehand, a dozen full size JPGs can make a PDF too big for a portal upload limit.

Select all the JPGs in File Explorer, right-click, and choose Print. Set the printer to Microsoft Print to PDF and hit print. It saves them all into a single file, which works best for receipts tbh.
